EMU's Summer Incentive ProgramThis is a featured page

Eastern Michigan University's Summer Incentive Program (SIP) is designed to provide additional opportunities to high school graduates who may not otherwise be admitted.

Prospective SIP students need to be nominated for the program and complete the required application and all related forms. If the candidate is invited to interview, the SIP staff with either accept or reject the student for admission based on the results.

Admitted students must complete a variety of requirements such as an orientation program, on-campus residence during the summer, and part-time campus employment. Students must also pass two courses, English 120 and Political Science 112, with a grade of C or better. Successful completion of the SIP program will allow the student to register as a full-time student for the following fall semester.

This program provides individualized instruction, study skills, credit hours, work experience, and the opportunity for a real college-lifestyle experience. For more information, visit the SIP office located in the Halle Library, Holman Learning Center, on the Ypsilanti campus of EMU.
